Meet the team
The people behind the bar, the kitchen, and everything in between
We are Helder, Suzanne, Luke, Athina, Elliot, Elliott, Samuel, Daniel, Dan, Sophie, Cassie, Max, Eamonn, Larry, Saf, Tom and Tim — and together we look after The Andover Arms. Whether you’re here for a quick drink or settling in for supper, one of us will be there to welcome you.
Helder is Kitchen Manager at The Andover Arms and leads the menu. He was previously Head Chef at The White Horse in Parsons Green, trained at Michelin-starred The River Café, and earned two AA Rosettes for his food at The Anchor in Walberswick, Suffolk.
Suzanne works across the kitchen and the wider business. She came to London ten years ago to complete an MFA at Goldsmiths University and has since applied her creative background to food and hospitality. Past roles include Manager at Melrose and Morgan (Primrose Hill) and The Poetry Café in Covent Garden.
Luke looks after Front of House and is usually the first face you’ll see when you arrive. Alongside the day-to-day running of the floor, he works across the business to shape how the pub operates and feels. His previous roles include General Manager at Browns Manchester, The Engineer in Primrose Hill and The White Horse on Parsons Green.
Athina is General Manager at The Andover Arms and keeps everything running smoothly — from the atmosphere in the room to the experience at the bar.
Our front of house team — Elliot, Samuel, Daniel, Dan, Sophie, Cassie and Max — are as much part of the fabric of the pub as the regulars. Many are creatives alongside their work here: actors, musicians, artists and fashion designers. They know the locals, the rhythm of the room, and how to make everyone feel at ease.
Elliott is our Sunday star, while spending the rest of the week brewing beer at Portobello Brewing.
Eamonn is our kitchen porter and one of the quiet constants of the pub — meticulous, reliable, and somehow able to remember every local’s birthday. Larry, along with Tom, Tim and Saf completes the kitchen team, keeping everything ticking along behind the scenes.
